Welcome to Airoptic. By accessing our website or engaging our drone and photography services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before using our services.

1. Company Information

2. Services

Airoptic provides aerial photography, video production, and data capture services using unmanned aerial systems (UAS). All operations are carried out in compliance with UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) regulations and safety standards.

Service details, deliverables, and costs will be agreed in writing (via email or proposal document) before work commences.

3. Quotations & Booking

  • All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue.
  • A booking is confirmed once a written agreement or deposit has been received.
  • Airoptic reserves the right to decline projects that cannot be completed safely, legally, or in accordance with CAA requirements.

4. Payment Terms

  • Unless otherwise stated, invoices are due within 14 days of issue.
  • For larger projects, a deposit may be required before any work begins.
  • Airoptic retains full ownership of all imagery and data until payment is received in full.
  • Late payments may incur statutory interest as permitted under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

5. Cancellations & Postponements

  • Cancellations must be made in writing to info@airoptic.co.uk.
  • Cancellations made less than 48 hours before a scheduled flight may incur charges for preparation, travel, and administration.
  • Flights postponed due to weather or safety concerns will be rescheduled at no additional cost.

6. Weather & Safety

Drone operations are subject to weather, airspace restrictions, and site safety. Airoptic reserves the right to delay or cancel operations if conditions are deemed unsafe or non-compliant with CAA regulations.

No compensation will be provided for unavoidable delays, but every effort will be made to reschedule promptly.

7. Client Responsibilities

  • Clients must obtain all necessary permissions for flight over private property, land, or restricted areas.
  • Clients must disclose any relevant information regarding site conditions, hazards, or restrictions before filming or data capture.
  • Clients are responsible for ensuring the site is safe and accessible for operations.

8. Deliverables & Usage Rights

  • Upon full payment, clients are granted a royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to use the final imagery or data for the agreed purpose (e.g. marketing, surveying, or inspection).
  • Airoptic retains the copyright to all imagery and footage produced.
  • Any unauthorised resale, redistribution, or modification of the content is prohibited without prior written consent.
  • Airoptic reserves the right to use selected imagery for marketing, portfolio, and promotional purposes unless otherwise agreed in writing.

9. Compliance & Regulations

All drone operations are conducted in accordance with:

  • The UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) regulations
  • The Air Navigation Order 2016 (as amended)
  • The UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018

Airoptic holds the necessary CAA authorisations, insurance, and operational documentation required for commercial drone work.

10. Liability

  • Airoptic carries full Public Liability Insurance for all drone operations.
  • While every effort is made to ensure safe and successful operations, Airoptic shall not be held liable for loss, damage, or delays arising from circumstances beyond its control, including weather, airspace restrictions, or equipment malfunction.
  • The client accepts responsibility for any additional costs resulting from access restrictions, third-party interference, or inaccurate information provided.

11. Data Protection

Any personal data collected during the course of a project (such as contact details or captured imagery) will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Airoptic is committed to protecting individual privacy and ensures that all aerial imagery complies with applicable data protection and privacy laws.

12. Confidentiality

All client data, project information, and captured imagery are treated as confidential and will not be shared with third parties without consent, except where legally required.

13. Termination

Either party may terminate the agreement with written notice if the other breaches these Terms and fails to rectify within a reasonable period. Upon termination, all completed work up to that date will be invoiced and payable.

14. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
